Our Story

21 Cats Love began as a simple idea: to document the chaos and daily adventures of our beloved feline family. We really do have 21 cats (yes 1 is technically a Husky) - it's hard to say with words what that looks like when the majority of them happen to converge in a single room - they are everywhere! What started as a few cat photos and descriptions is beginning to blossom into a vibrant community dedicated to sharing their own cat stories and photos.

Each of our 21 cats has their own personality and their own story to tell. Every cat is loved and nourished and in turn brings something special to our home. We created this blog to share these moments with fellow cat lovers around the world. Let's face it… the real reason all these data centers keep popping up is to keep up with all the cat pictures posted to the web.

Our Simple Mission

Our mission is simple: to spread pawsitivity and celebrate the joy that cats bring to our lives and if you are visiting likely yours. Through our stories, videos & photos (we have Terra Bytes), and tips, we hope to:

• Share heartwarming and funny moments from our nutty cat family
• Provide practical cat care tips and wellness advice
• Build a community of cat lovers and enthusiasts
• Celebrate the unique personalities of each cat
• Share which cat related products (litter, food, toys) are actually worth the money

Everything you see here is real. Real cats, real chaos, real love with a family of 21 (yes, 21 — go read the story if you don't believe us).

We're calling this out because it's gotten hard to tell anymore. The internet is full of AI-generated "cat families" and fake pet content built to rack up views, and honestly, it's a little insulting to everyone who's actually lived this. So here's our promise: no AI-generated cats, no AI-generated stories, no AI-generated anything pretending to be our life. Every cat bio, every chapter of Bug & Lady Bug's story, every ridiculous photo of River pretending she's not a dog — it's all genuinely us.

About the Creator

I'm Ben and the cat sudo-Grandfather in this wonky equation. I'm financing (barely) the herd / hoard / clowder - that's actually a real thing - and while I'm the primary content writer many of the photos and videos come from the clowder's 2 primary caregivers, my lovely wife JC, and my compassionate youngest Finn. They are the ones that do the heavy lifting each AND every day as taking care of 21 cats and doing it well is a huge task and they deserve all the credit and love. One fun fact, Bubba, one of the OGs and all-star cat is considered my cat - he's like a dog, he comes when I call him, he sleeps with me - he's my buddy.

Financing and caring for 21 cats has taught me patience, love, and providing the satisfaction of knowing we saved one feral cat from a hard life and in the process picked up an extra 14.. Through this blog, I hope to inspire other cat lovers to appreciate the special qualities of their own feline companions. After all, as a cat lover and owner you might have many cats throughout your life but for many cats you will be their whole life. Love them and they will love you back!
