The Litter Box Math: What Actually Keeps 21 Cats From Overwhelming One House

The textbook rule of thumb is one litter box per cat, plus one. At 21 cats, that's 22 boxes, and anyone who's actually tried scaling that advice past four or five cats already knows it falls apart — not because the math is wrong, but because there's no house built to hold 22 litter boxes and still be a house.
